“Why” Videos Time Slot Reservations: February 9 - February 11 - Whether you have already volunteered or plan to volunteer to shoot a 1-2 minute “Why” video, you must schedule a time slot with our videographer!  Please stop by the Information Center TODAY to select a time and location to shoot your video.  Today is the last day to sign up to participate!  If you have any questions, please see Rev.  Sign-Up to Participate in SEUCC's 40 Days/40 Ways!  - This year, we encourage you to not only give up some “thing” for Lent, but also give to some “one” through our church-wide hunger initiative, 40 Days/40 Ways. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 14, SEUCC will be participating in a hunger relief project every day of Lent.  Each member of SEUCC is asked to participate in at least one day of service.  You can volunteer at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, donate to our food drive and/or serve at a food pantry or homeless shelter.  You must sign-up to participate; a staffed registration table is located in the Atrium on Sundays.  Please know that most all volunteer and service activities require physical activity, including standing and lifting.  Please consider participating in the food drive if physical activities are limited for you.  If you have questions, please see Ruby Mack, Shannon Hendrix, Ann Poston or Rev. Joint Ash Wednesday Worship Experience & Soup Fellowship Dinner - Wednesday, February 14 - 7 PM - Please plan to join us at 7 PM in the SEUCC Sanctuary for a joint worship experience with both South Euclid United Church of Christ and Imani United Church of Christ (Euclid), as we begin our time of Lent together.  During worship, the imposition of ashes will be administered.  Immediately following worship, there will be a soup fellowship dinner (vegan and gluten-free soup options will be available).  If you plan to attend the dinner, please sign-up at the information Center by February 11.  Please see Nana Easter, Pastor Cory Jenkins, or Rev. Carla Jo Howlett if you have any questions. 

USO Cookie Project - The Women’s Association will be collecting cookies for our Veterans on Sunday, February 18.  Please see Thelma Visor following both services in the Atrium at Guest Services.  These cookies can be homemade, or store bought.  If homemade, please indicate on the container. The cookies will be given to Cleveland Hopkins Airport USO.  If you have any questions, please see Thelma Visor. 

Black History Musical - February 23 - 7 PM - Please join us for the Black History Musical, directed by Dr. David Thomas, on Friday, February 23, at 7 PM, in the Sanctuary.  The theme is “Resistance, Resilience, and Renewal: The Role of Music in the African-American Struggle for Justice and Equality.  “Performers include local jazz and R&B standouts such as Evelyn Wright, Reggie Kelly, Myisha Godfrey, and Rich Lucky and Retrospect, as well as the Vine Choir and dancers from the Cleveland School of the Arts.  Come be inspired by the courage and creativity of those who made a way for us.

Sankofa Sunday - February 25 - 9:55 AM & 12 Noon - Please join us on Sunday, February 25, as we observe our African American heritage.  Our guest speaker is Rev. Dr. Teresa Fry Brown.  Please come dressed in African attire only if you feel comfortable to do so.      

The BIN - Thursday, February 8 & Saturday, February 10 - We need persons to help unload the food truck for the BIN Ministry on Thursday, February 8between 11 AM and 1 PM.  Should you be available, please sign up at the Information Center.  If you know of any families in need, please encourage them to come to The BIN on Saturday, February 10 from 9 AM to 1 PM.  The first 50 families will be served.   If you have any questions, please see Ruby Mack or Rev. Requesting Giving Statements: DEADLINE February 28 - This year, Giving Statements for tax documents will be distributed only upon request for various reasons. If you would like a copy of your statement, please complete this online form, bit.ly/2DG1XxA.  Upon receipt of your request, Giving Statements will be sent by USPS Postal Service or electronically by email. If you are unable to access the request form online, a limited number of paper copies will be available at the Information Center. The Summit: Youth Ministry Small Group Continues - Wednesdays - 6 PM - We are EXCITED to provide a place called “The Summit” where youth ages 6 to 18 can gather for faith development to have their lives challenged so they can be equipped.  They will discuss real life issues that they encounter daily; learn how to interpret them and respond from a Christian and faith perspective.  Snacks will be provided.  Upcoming dates for the Summit are: Every Wednesday through March 1.  For more information contact Valerie Wimms, Director of Youth and Young Adults at 216-658-4257 or email vwimms@southeucliducc.org.


Intercessory Prayer -All persons who are interested in offering prayers of intercession, on behalf of the church, your family or whatever is on your heart, are to come to the sanctuary to pray, 1 hour before all worship services.  If you have any questions, please see Rev. Carla Jo Howlett.
