Graduation Recognition: As we are approaching the end of another school year, we want to recognize the accomplishments of all students from Pre-K to Graduate School. Please get a form from the Information Center, complete it and return to Valerie Wimms or back to the Information Center by next Sunday, May 27.

Register for Family Vacation Bible School Classes From Age 2 to Adult - June 11 - June 15 - Registration has begun! -Vacation Bible School is Fast Approaching! This Amazing Event will be held from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Also, this year we will include an Adult Class! If you love serving God and His children, then this is the place you will want to volunteer to assist with teaching, registration, arts & crafts, meals and creative arts. Volunteer training will be held on Saturday, June 2 at 10 a.m. and Monday, June 4 at 6:30 p.m. Please sign up today at the Information Center to register or to volunteer! Summer Kickoff June 9 - Chillin’ and Grillin’ Backyard BBQ - Summer is almost here and so is our Summer Kickoff. The church is invited to our Chillin’ and Grillin’ Backyard BBQ, Saturday, June 9 from 4 pm to 7 pm. We will have a great time of fellowship as there will be a DJ, line dancing and games. We’re “gonna” have a blast! There is a small cost of $10 for ages 13 and up, $5 for ages 5 -12 and children under 5 are free. You joined us in the past on a Summer boat cruise this time we will be chillin’ in our own backyard. Sign your family up at the Information Center today after worship. You don’t want to miss this!
Women’s Association Project - Extended Through Today - The Women’s Association is teaming with The Bair Foundation which provides Journey Bags for children who are in foster care. Please help us by donating the following items: pajamas, sweat shirts and sweat pants and toiletry items. Please pick up a list of needed items in the Atrium at Church Happenings. We will collect your donations today in the Atrium. If you have any questions, please see Thelma Visor.
Church Membership Updates Due Today - The Deacon Ministry, in accordance with our church constitution, has begun the process of updating our church membership. Before worship, you will be given a Member Information Form which must be completed and returned at the end of the worship at Room #153, 154. Please do not take a form if you have already completed one. If you are, or know of someone who is, unable to physically pick up a form please share that information with a deacon. Under no circumstance can you take a form to an individual. Please do not mail forms to the church. Failure to complete and return the form can result in your name being removed from our membership database. We appreciate your cooperation in assisting us with this process. Today is the last day to submit your forms.
Wellness Matters - 4 Upcoming Events - 1) Pill bottle Recycling - Please continue to bring your old pill bottles to the Information Center. This program will continue indefinitely. 2) Seven Weeks to Wellness - It’s not too late to register and participate! 3) Tai Chi Class - Chris Burnett of Green Dragon Tai Chi returns. Classes begin tomorrow, through June 25 (five sessions - no class on May 28). The cost is$25 for SEUCC members, $20 for seniors (60+) and $30 for non-members. 4) Step Aerobics Class - Classes begin Tuesday, May 22 - June 26 (no class on June 12). This is a developmental class, therefore, there is no cost, but enrollment is limited to the first 9 people to sign up. If you own a step bench and are willing to bring it with you, then the class size limit does not apply to you. For all events, please sign up at the Information Center today. New Members Fellowship - Wednesday, May 23 - 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. - All persons who have completed New Members Orientation from December 2017 through May 2018, are invited to a special New Members Fellowship! This is an opportunity to meet other new members, ministry leaders and engage with Pastor Jenkins, over food, fun and fellowship. To adequately prepare, please sign up at the Information Center. Just A Sister Away: Women's Ministry - FAMILY GAME FELLOWSHIP - Saturday, June 2 at 2 p.m. - Looking for an afternoon full of exciting games, food, live entertainment and more? Just A Sister Away Women's Ministry presents an old school GAME AFTERNOON for the entire family Saturday, June 2 from 2 to 5 p.m. When was the last time you Hula Hoop'd, played Connect 4, Operation, musical chairs or line danced? Well it's time to get your GAME ON and bring the family. Register today at the Information Center. Registration is $5 and children age 5 and under are FREE! Registration includes EVERYTHING. Freedom School - June 18 - July 27 - Volunteers Needed -The SEUCC-CDF Freedom School is scheduled Monday through Friday, June 18 - July 27. This is an awesome literacy program for students in grades K-12. Volunteers are needed for reading aloud to classes, distributing meals and assisting in other areas. The May Beacon Newsletter - Available Today - We are asking those without computer access to please pick up a copy of The Beacon at Church Happenings. Members who are able are asked to read or download The Beacon off the website (www.southeucliducc.org, then click the word, News). Also, why not share your joys with your church family? Please fill out a card with your joy and drop it in the Joy Box, located in the Atrium at the Church Happenings Desk. We would love to include your joy in our next Beacon newsletter.
SEUCC Prayer Chain -If ever you have the desire for people to pray for you, this would be a way for you to know that those prayers are truly being prayed by a few dedicated SEUCC intercessors.
