Weekly Bulletin Announcements 


Empowered to Greatness- Friday, October 2 – 7 p.m.

The Domestic Violence Ministry is having a worship service for victims, family and friends of domestic violence on Friday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m., at SEUCC. We invite you and your loved ones to come to this safe space for empowerment. Pastor Michelle Humphrey, of Imani UCC, will be our guest preacher. We invite you to bring toiletries to be given to women and men experiencing need. Donation lists can be found on the Information Table and donations can be placed in the barrel, marked “Domestic Violence Ministry” at the rear of the sanctuary. We will be collecting donations throughout the month of October.  If you have any questions, please see Diana Scott.

Order Servolution T-Shirts Today

Anyone interested in a Servolution t-shirt should order their t- shirt today at the Information Table.  The cost of the t-shirt is $13 and checks should be made to SEUCC.  If you have any questions, please see Erin Price.


Financial Peace University Small Group

Pastor Jenkins is facilitating a Small Group through November 11, on Wednesdays at 6 p.m.  This special Small Group will teach you how to get out of debt.  The cost for materials is $93 ($102.30 after shipping).  More information is available at the Information Table.  Register online through Dave Ramsey's website.

5th Pastoral Anniversary Celebration Party Scholarship – Request Due Today

A limited number of partial scholarships will be available for persons who would like to attend Pastor Jenkins’ celebration party on October 16.  All scholarship requests are due today.  Please see a member of the committee for scholarship guidelines and submission of your scholarship request today, immediately after worship service.  If you have any questions OR are interested in contributing to assist in making a scholarship available, please see Anshawn Ivery or Beverly Riley Tatum.

5th Pastoral Anniversary Celebration Party Reservations Deadline October 4 – Reservations ACCEPTED TODAY

In celebration of Pastor Jenkins’ 5th pastoral anniversary, SEUCC is hosting a dinner/dance party on October 16 at Acacia Reservations.  Adult reservations are $65.00 and children (12 years and under) are $30.00.   Electronic reservations can now be accepted on our website OR at the 5th Pastoral Anniversary Committee Information Table.  All members and SEUCC friends are welcome to attend.  If you have any questions, please see Beverly Tatum or Marsha Woody.


The September Beacon Newsletter is Now Available

We are asking that all members who regularly attend South Euclid United Church of Christ and do not have computer access, to please pick up a copy of The Beacon on the Information Table.  Members who are able, are asked to read or download The Beacon off the website.  Copies of The Beacon are mailed to our sick and shut-in.  If you have any questions, please see Rev. Pastor’s Book Release – Friday, October 9 – 7 p.m.

Women’s Association Outreach

The Women’s Association is collecting tabs from beverage and other types of cans to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.  There is a container available during the month of September in the Sanctuary.  If you have any questions, please see Jeanette Potts.

SERVOLUTION 2015 – Sign-Up Today

All members of SEUCC are invited to serve our greater Cleveland community during the month of October through our Servolution movement.   There are over 15 opportunities to serve this year that will touch the lives of students, teachers, nursing home residents, domestic violence survivors, prisoners, women walking into Planned Parenthood, prostitutes, and others.  Sign up today, at the Information Table for the service project that grabs your heart!  If you have any questions, please see Erin Price, any project leader, or Rev. 5th Pastoral Appreciation Sunday, October 18

South Euclid United Church of Christ is planning to celebrate a mile stone in the ministry of our Senior Pastor, Rev. Courtney Clayton Jenkins.   In October we will celebrate her 5th Pastoral Anniversary serving as the Senior Pastor and Teacher of our congregation.  Over these last five years she has exemplified what it is to be a Gracious and Grounded Senior Pastor and Teacher.
